Founded by writer, director and creator Gabrielle M. Collins, Ms. Adventures In Writing is a visionary storytelling company that covers every facet of modern content creation. We specialize in developing and producing original, compelling, and diverse storytelling through the production of film, television, and digital content for distribution across all platforms, including theatrical releases (both studio and indie), network and cable television, and digital platforms.

Ms. Adventures in Writing is dedicated to break boundaries in representation and storytelling, crafting compelling content that connects with audiences across genres. Our recent projects include the two-time  NAACP Image Awards nominated television film First Lady Of BMF: The Tonesa Welch Story, the holiday family comedy, Merry Switchmas; the crime drama, American Gangster Presents: Big Fifty; and the romantic drama, Throwback Holiday—BET’s first original holiday movie. All of our projects are currently streaming.

Collins, a veteran entertainment industry executive with a diverse background spanning development, production, and post-production, serves as CEO and Head Writer. Her passion for storytelling drives the creation of exceptional scripted and unscripted content designed to entertain audiences while generating revenue.

A former WGA Writers’ Trainee on MadTV (FOX), Collins earned her first "produced writer" credit on the show. She has since written and produced a variety of projects, including BrandhouseTV, a TV shopping network venture from Chris Christmas and Tommy Mottola, and the short film Thinking Blue, which addresses the issue of breaking the bullying cycle. Collins also ventured into directing and editing, starting with her original sitcom presentation Danny 101, followed by the short film Love In An INSTAnt, and now with Corner Boy, a proof of execution for her Chicago based drama, Cornered.

Collins expanded her television portfolio through her work in Non-Scripted Development at ITV Studios America, where she played a key role in launching several successful network series, including Best Time Ever with Neil Patrick Harris (NBC), The Chase (FOX, GSN), Cesar 911 (NAT GEO), and Rich Kids of Beverly Hills (E!). She also contributed to the production delivery of Surprise Surprise with Jenny McCarthy (NBC) and On Your Mind with Mo’Nique (ABC). Additionally, Collins personally produced the docuseries ‘Bout That Trunk Life, which was optioned by ITV.

After completing a four-year corporate tenure at ITV, Collins returned to scripted production as a producing partner at Running With Scissors, where she focused on creating content for both film and television. During her time there, she contributed to several notable projects, including the feature film #Twominutesoffame (Lionsgate), the TV pilot for Dear White People (Netflix), the animated series Legends of Chamberlain Heights (Comedy Central), and the TV pilot Divorce Saved My Marriage (BET).

Ms. Adventures in Writing is forging strong business partnerships by working with both emerging and established partners, as well as a culturally diverse roster of talent in order to push boundaries and redefine the business of storytelling.
